Hot bats not enough, the Eastbrook Panthers succumb to Southern Wells, 13-9

The Eastbrook Panthers lost a battle of the bats on Wednesday, falling short in a 13-9 ballgame against Southern Wells. Justin Reece racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Eastbrook Panthers. He singled in the third and fifth innings and tripled in the seventh inning. Cody Bass got the win for Southern Wells

Jr. High Track off to a Good Start

The Jr. High girls and boys track teams took advantage of some great Spring weather this week to kick off their season.  The team traveled to Southwood on Monday for the season opener and hosted Oak Hill on Wednesday evening.  Some of the young Panthers are running their first races ever and others already look primed

With the score tied at 10 in the seventh inning, Thomas Hahn came to the plate and singled, bringing home Josh King. The Eastbrook Panthers’ King showed his talents on both sides of the diamond with a strong game on the hill and at the plate. King had two extra-base hits for the Eastbrook Panthers.

The Eastbrook Panthers lost a battle of the bats on Monday, falling short in a 16-8 ballgame against Maconaquah. Luke Elliott got a hit in each of his three at bats. He homered in the first inning, singled in the fifth inning, and doubled in the sixth inning. Blake May recorded the win for Maconaquah.

Wrestlers Ready for Post Season

The Eastbrook wrestling team wrapped up a successful regular season with a 43-30 victory over Taylor on Wednesday night.  That win raised the Panthers’ record to 10-4 on the season. Lady Panthers Claim Grant 4 Title

The Eastbrook girls basketball team dominated county competition in route to winning their second Grant 4 championship in three years.  The Panthers defeated Mississinewa 51-39 to win the title after handling Oak Hill in the first round game by a score of 56-40. The Lady Panthers moved to 11-1 on the season behind 23 points
