The Eastbrook girls' golf team has wrapped up its season, closing the year with a 2–10 record in dual and tri-matches. Despite a tough schedule, the Lady Panthers showed grit and had several bright spots along the way. At the Central Indiana Conference (CIC) tournament, Eastbrook placed 3rd overall. Individually, Alayna Kemp earned 2nd place honors, highlighted by a spectacular hole-in-one on the 8th hole, while Addison McVicker finished close behind in 3rd. Ava Nacke also made her mark, earning an Honorable Mention. The Panthers found their stride at the Grant 4 meet, where they captured 1st place as a team. McVicker defended her title, winning the event for the second consecutive year, while Kemp followed with a strong 2nd place finish. In sectional play, Eastbrook came up short of advancing as a team, shooting a 414. However, Kemp turned in the performance of her career, firing an 81, her lowest round to date. That effort not only made her the 3rd low medalist but also secured her a spot in the Regional as one of the top three individuals from non-advancing teams. With the accomplishment, Kemp becomes the 6th individual in Eastbrook girls golf history to advance to Regionals, and the 9th player overall to do so. As a senior, Kemp’s leadership and standout play will be missed next season. Looking ahead, the Lady Panthers will return with experience. McVicker and Nacke will step into senior leadership roles, joined by fellow senior Dani Sizemore. They’ll guide a promising group that includes Paili Swift, Savannah Kidwell, Brilynn Caudill, and Raegan Spears. The team season may be over, but with this core of returning talent, the future remains bright for Eastbrook girls' golf. Good luck to Alayna on Friday at the Noble Hawk Regional!
