Panther football had their season opener on Friday night, traveling to Huntington North. They got off to a slow start by giving up a touchdown on the first Viking drive. However, your Panthers came back strong, scoring four times before going into the half leading 27-6. Huntington North came out on a mission in the second half scoring on several drives and climbing back into the game before the Panthers scored a touchdown late in the fourth quarter to seal the win 39-26. Josh Slater and Devin Stupples had huge games and the defense forced four turnovers on the way to the victory. Varsity is back in action next Friday night at home as they host the visiting New Haven Bulldogs
