After trailing the entire game, the Eastbrook Panthers Baseball team decided to get it started with two outs in the top of 7th. Down 4-0 to the Alexandria Tigers, Eastbrook fought back and stole the lead late to earn a CIC road victory 7-4. Down 4-3 , Jason Hale doubled on the first pitch, scoring two runs, followed by Cooper Craw’s solo homer.
Jett Engle started the game for Eastbrook, surrendering four runs on six hits over five and third innings, striking out seven. Brody Brodkorb got the win, going one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out two.
The Panthers were led at the plate by Jason Hale and Luke Shearer, each of whom had three hits. Eastbrook evens it’s CIC record at 1-1, and overall at 4-7-1. They’re back in action at home against Madison Grant on Thursday at 5:00PM.
