Panthers News · Continued Improvement From Panther XC Teams


The Eastbrook cross country teams continued to improve as they competed in the Taylor
University High School Invitational this past Saturday. The boy’s team finished 6 th out of 15 and
were led by Senior Zane Callison in 11 th place. Callison ran a lifetime best of 16:53, which also
moved him to the 11 th fastest time in school history. Along with Callison, the boys have lifetime
bests by Senior Isaac Brown (18:48) , Sophomores Devon Legg (19:39) and Jonah Falder (22:21),
and Freshman Jonathan Lora (19:44).
The girls team was unable to score as a team with only four finishers, but continued to show
progress. The girls were led by Sophomore Laynie Craw in a season best time of 22:58. Bekah
Hammond and Rachel Manning had solid performances finishing in 84 th and 96 th place
respectively. Junior Brooklyn Stupples made her EXC debut finishing in 31:01.
The teams now turn their attention to the Marion Invitational on Saturday September 7 th . Both
teams will be competing in the Purple Division with the Boys racing at 8:30am and the Girls to
follow at 9:00am.
