Multiple Teams · Panthers Leave Knights in the Dark

On a day when a power outage forced an early dismissal from school, Andrew Barajas made the Norwell Knights look like they were tackling in the dark Friday night as the Panthers rolled to a 72-13 season opening win.

The elusive Barajas scored 6 touchdowns while rushing for 159 yards on only 9 carries. In addition to his 4 rushing touchdowns, Barajas added a 34 yard pass reception for a touchdown and also returned a punt 36 yards for a touchdown.

Justin Singer returned a punt 79 yards for a touchdown and Edward Keasling sprinted to a 46 yard touchdown run as the Panthers took a 53-7 lead into halftime.

Quarterback, Jackson Liddick, completed 5 of 9 passes for 88 yards and 2 TDs.  Davon Wallace, Xaine Kirby and Dylan Bragg all added scores in the second half to help produce the Panthers’ 59-point winning margin.

Eastbrook travels to Huntington North next week to take on the Vikings.  Look for photos of the Norwell game in the photo gallery. And for more pictures of Eastbrook athletics, click on flickr.com/photos/eastbrookathletics.
