The Eastbrook Panthers scattered four hits on Monday, but weren’t able to push enough runs across, and lost 11-3 to Adams Central.

Wellman got the win for Adams Central. He allowed two runs over 3 2/3 innings. Wellman struck out six, walked six and gave up two hits.

Adams Central was sparked by Green and Bittner, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs.

Josh Pluimer took the loss for the Eastbrook Panthers. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

Adams Central went up for good in the second, scoring five runs on an error, a fielder’s choice, an RBI single by Bittner, and a two-run triple by Green.

One run in the top of the sixth helped the Eastbrook Panthers close their deficit to 5-3. An RBI double by Andrew Lawvere gave the Eastbrook Panthers life. Finally, Bauman got Reece to fly out to end the threat.

Adams Central quickly matched the Eastbrook Panthers’ strong inning with a six-run inning of its own in the sixth. Adams Central scored on an RBI single by Busse, a two-run single by Coyne, an RBI double by Hammond, and a two-run single by Wellman.
