Jay County took the lead in the sixth inning, and the Eastbrook Panthers was unable to muster a comeback, losing 6-5 in seven innings on Tuesday.

Wyatt Geesaman got the win for Jay County. He tossed 1 2/3 innings of shutout ball. Geesaman struck out five, walked none and gave up no hits.

Ross Debonis was the game’s losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed one run.

Jay County closer Myers put away the final three outs to record the save.

In the bottom of the second, the Eastbrook Panthers grabbed the early lead, 2-0.

Jay County never trailed after scoring one run in the sixth on an RBI double by Geesaman.
