The Eastbrook football team appears to be in mid-season form after another strong showing in week 2 of the 2015 season. The Panthers cruised to their second straight victory, this time over Class 5A Huntington North, by a score of 48-7.
The Vikings had no answer for the ground game Eastbrook brought out for its home opener Friday night. The Panthers put up 450 yards rushing led by Andrew Barajas who gained 237 yards on just 14 carries. Barajas found the end zone five times including a 20 yard pass reception from quarterback Jackson Liddick. Senior Luke Elliott also had a big night for the Panthers grinding out 136 yards on 20 carries. Even the defense got on the scoreboard as Peyton Watson returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown to put the Panthers up 42-0 at the half.
The Panthers travel to Blackford High School next week for their CIC opener.
