|The Panthers pounded Bluffton on Monday 16-5 at Bluffton in six innings.
The Panthers scored six runs in the sixth on the Panthers scored in the sixth on a walk by Evan Brankle, a walk by Kyle Martin, a three-run double by Luke Elliott, and a walk by Andrew Lawvere.
Andy Black racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Panthers. He singled in the first inning and homered in the second inning.
Kyle got the win for the Panthers despite allowing five runs over five innings. Kyle struck out four, walked none and gave up nine hits.
The Panthers easily handled Bluffton pitching as six hitters combined for eight hits, 13 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
Collins took the loss for Bluffton. He allowed 16 runs in six innings, walked eight and struck out two.
Panthers closer Alex Campbell put away the final three outs to record the save.
The Panthers went up for good in the first, scoring two runs on an error and a single by Andy.
The Panthers got three-run rallies in the second inning and the fourth. In the second, the Panthers scored on a three-run home run by Andy, scoring Luke and Evan Brankle.
Two runs in the bottom of the third helped Bluffton close its deficit to 5-2. A solo home run by Hoffman and an RBI single by Wenger fueled Bluffton's comeback. But, Kyle got Collins to strike out to end the inning.
The Panthers built upon their lead with three runs in the fourth. A sacrifice fly scored Evan Brankle to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Alex's two-run blast, scoring Kyle.
The Panthers added two more runs in the top of the fifth. A ground out scored Nate Shaw for the inning's first run.
