The Panthers lost 9-1 to Northfield on Thursday, despite a total of four hits.

Andy Black had an impressive outing against Northfield’s lineup. Andy held Northfield hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three.

Remington Monce recorded the win for Northfield. He allowed one run over seven innings. Remington struck out seven, walked two and gave up four hits.

Northfield was sparked by Adam Roser and Shane Vigar, who teamed up for five hits and five RBIs.

Kyle Martin took the loss for the Panthers. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked three and struck out two.

Northfield got two-run rallies in the second inning and the third. In the second, Northfield scored on an RBI single by Adam Roser, plating Brandon Frank.

Northfield added three more runs in the top of the fourth. Adam Roser’s triple got things going, scoring Dylan Brown. That was followed up by Brad Bever‘s single, bringing home Adam Roser.

The Panthers scored their only run of the game on an RBI single by Kyle in the fifth inning.
