Despite a big day at the dish from Nate Shaw, who finished 3-3, the Panthers lost 11-5 to Wes-Del on Wednesday.
Tré Quinn recorded the win for Wes-Del. He allowed four runs over 4 1/3 innings. He struck out two, walked four and surrendered seven hits.
Kody Graves took the loss for the Panthers. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked five, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
The top of the second saw the Panthers take an early lead, 1-0. Nate kicked things off for the Panthers with a single. A groundout by Andy Black then moved Nate from first to second. Andrew Lawvere singled, plating Nate.
The Panthers matched their two-run third inning with two more in the seventh. In the third, the Panthers scored on a wild pitch, scoring Josh King.
The game was never in doubt after the third, as Wes-Del scored five runs on two singles.
Wes-Del got three-run rallies in the fourth inning and the sixth. In the fourth, Wes-Del scored on a two-run single by Zac, plating Devin Gill and Trevor.
